About me
I am Dr Alexandre Hage, an ophthalmic surgeon specializing in refractive, cataract and glaucoma surgery. After my residency at the Paris Hospitals (Internat des Hôpitaux de Paris) and two years as an assistant surgeon at the Hôpital National d'Ophtalmologie des Quinze-Vingts — France's national reference center for ophthalmology — I co-founded Cabinet OPHTALIFE in Boulogne-Billancourt in 2024 with Dr Prud'homme and Dr Majoulet.
My training at this center of excellence gave me in-depth expertise in corneal refractive surgery (LASIK, SMILE, PRK), ICL phakic lens implantation, cataract surgery with premium intraocular lenses, as well as glaucoma filtering surgery and reconstructive corneal surgery (corneal transplants, keratoconus).
The doctor–patient relationship is of the utmost importance to me: I take the time to explain every step of your care, to answer all your questions, and to make sure you fully understand and agree with the treatment plan.

I have co-authored 9 publications indexed in PubMed in five international journals (J Fr Ophtalmol, Eur J Ophthalmol, J Clin Med, Medicine), including 3 as first author. My work focuses mainly on the ocular surface, eye rubbing and keratoconus, endophthalmitis after cataract surgery, glaucoma and neuro-ophthalmology.
